Фиджитал-проект научного волонтёрства «Удобный город» совместно с экспертом проекта, молодым исследователем НИУ ВШЭ Викторией Блохиной, представил исследование “Virtual reality in a museum environment: a practice-oriented study” на международном семинаре International Art and Innovation in Museums Seminar (AIMs-2026) в Нови-Саде.

🌍 Udobny Gorod presented its research at an international seminar in Serbia
The phygital citizen science project Udobny Gorod / Convenient City, together with project expert and young HSE University researcher Victoria Blokhina, presented the study “Virtual reality in a museum environment: a practice-oriented study” at the International Art and Innovation in Museums Seminar (AIMs-2026) in Novi Sad.
The study shows how VR and AR can transform museum experience when the participant’s research journey is embedded directly into the exhibition. The technologies of the
Udobny Gorod project — AI, eye-tracking, mindtracking and attention heat maps — help study how visitors perceive exhibits, what captures their attention and how the digital layer influences engagement.
It is especially important that the first pilot groups were formed in the science city of Korolyov at Library No. 8. This means that school students and young project participants became part of real research whose results are now being presented internationally.
A separate international component of the study is connected with the phygital exhibition “Symbols of BRICS+”, created together with the project partners. The format combined a physical exhibition with VR, AR and interactive 3D objects, making it possible to study user experience in hybrid cultural environments.
For our team, participation in AIMs-2026 is an important step in international scientific dialogue. It shows that citizen science, digital technologies and youth involvement can produce results that matter far beyond one local platform.
