Friends, even good deeds sometimes take a summer break. ☀️💚

August in Cyprus is a time of bright sunshine, warm days, and a well-deserved rest for our volunteer community. That’s why we’re taking a short summer pause and putting away our bags, gloves, and litter pickers until September.

We get used to life on this amazing island so quickly that we sometimes stop noticing everything it has to offer. One of the unique things about Cyprus is that in just one day you can swim in the sea, head up into the mountains, and discover something new. We wish you a wonderful time exploring the island like a tourist and simply enjoying a well-earned break. 🌿☀️

For the festive cleanup our volunteers in Paphos suggested a location themselves — meet you at Syrakouson Street.

It’s a residential area just 500 meters from the Green Point, but somehow things don’t always make it there… To our surprise, the area has turned into a kind of “pre–Green Point” — with even mattresses being dumped right under people’s windows.

We think it’s time to change that 💚

This year’s https://www.limassolmarathon.com/ cleanup felt truly special 💚

Thank you to everyone involved — our volunteers, the marathon organizers, and our sponsor https://freedom24.com/ It was inspiring to see so many people coming together around a shared goal: a cleaner island for everyone.

Our volunteers showed incredible dedication — waking up early, working through the rain, traveling from other cities, and even joining the race before or after their cleanup shifts.

Many runners supported the cleanup — placing empty bottles directly into the bags or handing them to volunteers, showing awareness and appreciation.

With every event, this becomes more natural — part of the mindset and culture.

В этом году клинап на https://www.limassolmarathon.com/ получился по-настоящему особенным 💚

Спасибо всем, кто принимал активное участие и оказывал поддержку — нашим волонтёрам, организаторам марафона и нашему спонсору https://freedom24.com/ Очень радостно наблюдать, как всё больше людей объединяются вокруг общей цели — более чистого острова для всех.

Наши волонтёры проявили себя на максимум — работали под дождём, вставали ни свет ни заря, приезжали из других городов, а кто-то даже успевал пробежать дистанцию и вернуться к уборке!

Многие участники забега помогали уборке — аккуратно кидали пустые бутылки сразу в мусорные пакеты или отдавали их в руки волонтерам, были осознанными и благодарными.

С каждым разом это становится всё более естественным — частью мышления и культуры.
Мы верим в то, что забота об острове постепенно станет общей нормой 💚
